Staintondale Lass (Bushranger) wins the Seafarers EBF Stallions Fillies’ Handicap (Cl 4) for Ed Vaughan and Mr A M Pickering.

 

A €20,000 purchase from the 2015 Goresbridge Breeze Up Sale, Vaughan’s filly has now taken her record to an impressive 6 wins from 15 starts.

 

She was sent off at 8/1 for this contest, but quickly showed that the market had hugely underestimated her chance. Dropping back in trip here, she travelled well, got a nice tow in to the race by the early leader out in the centre of the track, and was last off the bridle. She was allowed her head with 1f to race and put matters to bed in good style winning with ease by 2 3/4 lengths.
