Raadobarg (Night Of Thunder) wins the Paddy Power Irish Lincolnshire (Premier Handicap).
Having been a largely progressive horse when trained in Great Britain by Roger Varian, Raadobarg was having his first start for his new trainer Johnny Murtagh here and ran out an impressive winner under Ben Coen. He travelled like the best horse throughout the race before surging through a gap in the final furlong and powering clear to win by 2 lengths.
After the race Murtagh said ” He has only been with me about six weeks and if you asked me two weeks ago if I would have him ready, I would not have thought so. He’s a big horse and takes his work well, and he has really tightened up in his last two pieces of work when we took him up to Walsh’s Hill where the ground was soft. It wasn’t until his last piece of work that I felt we were nearly there”
Raadobarg was a yearling purchase at the 2020 Goffs UK Premier Sale.
