He’s A Monster (No Nay Never) wins in taking style on debut at Chelmsford for Archie Watson and owners Lone Star Investments.
This was about as impressive as you could ask for on debut with Hollie Doyle a mere passenger as He’s A Monster kicked away from the field in the style of a good horse. He was sent to the front early on and gradually built the tempo throughout the race before shooting clear to win by an eased down 2 1/4 lengths.
After the race Hollie Doyle said ” I was impressed with him, he is so laid back at home that we came here unsure if he would need the run but a clearly didn’t. He feels very smart.”
He’s A Monster was purchased at last years Goffs Orby Yearling Sale for €160,000 from Baroda Stud. This year see’s the return of the Goffs Million race at the Curragh. The race is an excellent addition to the calendar with a prize fund of €1,234,000 on offer with just over €600,000 to the winner. He’s A Monster looks to hold a live chance in the race for connections and we will have everything crossed for a bold show.
