Pallas Lord (Dandy Man) wins at Carlisle for Brian Ellison and owners Linsey & Ian Pallas.
Having run pleasingly on debut at Doncaster last month, Pallas Lord was unsuited by Ripon’s undulations on his second start. He was much improved here on the stiff track at Carlisle and was able to use his long stride to power away from his rivals in the closing stages to win snugly by 1/2 a length under Harry Russell.
His pedigree and running style suggest that he will improve for a further step up in distance to a mile and looks a nice horse for his connections to go to war with for the remainder of the season.
Pallas Lord was purchased privately in conjunction with former assistant David Appleton at last year’s Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale.
