Champagne Gold (Presenting) wins at Wexford for Henry De Bromhead and owner Barry Moloney.
Having shown progressive form when trained in France, the son of Presenting was purchased for £90,000 at the 2019 Tattersalls December Sale at Cheltenham. He ran well on his debut for new connections when finishing a good second at Clonmel.
On this occasion, he was settled behind the early leaders and jumped with fluency throughout. At the third flight form home he started to pull clear and eventually win by a going away 4 1/4 lengths.
After the race trainer De Bromhead said “He is a lovely horse. He jumped well. I’d say he’ll go for a novice next, we’ll see. He is a real chaser in the making “.
