Tommy Tittlemouse (Sir Prancealot) wins in good style on debut at Hamilton for Brian Ellison and owner Mrs Linsey Pallas.
It was an excellent debut by this two-year-old colt who was strongly supported from long odds in the market before the off. He broke well under Ben Robinson and was slightly free through the first furlong before settling in behind the early pace. His inexperience showed as the field ran in to the final two furlongs, but he responded very well to his rider’s urging’s and showed a great deal of natural ability and a measure of toughness to get up and win by a short head on the line from the well fancied and joint favourite Bergerac under Tom Eaves. The two pulled well clear of the third and with Bergerac being the beneficiary of a previous run here, the manner of the win was all the more impressive.
After the race trainer Ellison said ”He is a very nice colt, we have liked him from the day he arrived, but he has really started to show himself well in his work over the last month, my two-year-old’s always improve for a run so for him to do that tells me has has plenty of natural talent, he could be quite nice”
