Making her debut for Ralph Beckett here, Sparkling Olly put this field to the sword in dominant style. Heavily backed from a larger price throughout the day, the daughter of Gleneagles was sent off 5/2f for this 1m contest. Ridden by Rob Horny, she settled in midfield and travelled with eye catching ease throughout. When asked to go and settle matters at the 2f pole, she skipped away from the field in really pleasing fashion, forging clear to win by an eased down 2 1/2 lengths.
This was a really nice performance from Sparkling Olly and with two entries in the coming days, she may be turned out quickly.
Being a half sister to crack sprinter Lillbourne Lad, she has a pedigree that gives her every chance to progress as she matures.
