Sir Maxi (Adaay) wins at Lingfield for Amo Racing and Ralph Beckett.
After an impressive maiden win at Pontefract on his previous start, Sir Maxi was sent off a strong 7/4F here under Rossa Ryan.
He was keen in the early stages before powering off the home turn and surging to the lead with a furlong to run, winning impressively by 1 3/4 lengths.
After the race jockey Ryan said “He hasĀ been doing everything lovely at home, he does tend to be a small bit keen and he was kind of hanging out around the bends because he’s trying to pull too hard and go too quick for himself. As soon as they turned in I just needed him to switch onto that right lead and as soon as he did he quickened away nicely. All he’s done this year is only a bonus for what he could be next year, we’ve always looked at him as being a three-year-old”
