Yearling purchase Prince Alex (Excelebration) brings up his five-timer by winning impressively at York for Amo Racing and Ralph Beckett.
Having brought up four straight victories in handicaps this season, it was always going to be a big ask for this progressive young stayer to land his fifth win in a row, but he did so in very impressive fashion in this hot Heritage Handicap.
Settled in rear early under Harry Bentley he was always travelling and came into the straight swinging. When Bentley asked him to quicken he took a little while to hit top gear hit once he did he put this race to bed very quickly going clear from some nice horses in a matter of strides.
Prince Alex looks like a very talented young horse and who knows where the ceiling is for him now and he is certainly one to look forward to for next season where an exciting campaign lies ahead of him.
