Prince Alex (Excelebration) wins in fine style at a Beverley under Rossa Ryan for owners Amo Racing and Ralph Beckett.
Having broken his maiden at Windsor earlier in the month over 1m2f, the son of Excelebration was sent off a well backed 9/4F for this his first start over 1m4f. On rain softened ground, he travelled comfortably for much of the race before hitting a flat spot briefly on the approach to the home straight as the pace lifted, however it was only for a moment and when his rider got him organised he quickened up very nicely, staying on strongly to win comfortably in the end by 2lengths.
This was a very nice performance, and one that would suggest that the further this progressive young horse goes, the better he will get. He looks a nice staying prospect for the remainder of the season and beyond.
