It was a double on the day for EBS yearling purchases as Lady Aria and Crash Helmet both picked up victories at Haydock and Newcastle respectively.
Having already achieved blacktype as a maiden and been placed on all three of her starts, Lady Aria (Kodiac) was sent off at odds of 2/7 here and duly lived up to that market confidence, winning this in comfortable fashion under a confident ride from Danny Tudhope by 1 1/2 lengths.
Lady Aria was purchased for 125,000 gns Book 2 of last year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale’s.
Our second winner of the day came in the form of three year old Crash Helmet (Helmet) winning at Newcastle for owners Ontoawinner and Saffron Racing. Connections have shown great patience with Crash Helmet after he unfortunately picked up an injury early in his two year old season, and they have been duly rewarded for doing so.
Crash Helmet was purchased for £32,000 at the 2017 Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale.
