Baradar (Muhaarar) wins in great style on debut at Newbury for Roger Varian and owners Amo Racing.
Having been strongly supported in the market throughout the day, Baradar was sent off a very well backed 13/8F for this 7 furlong maiden.
After slightly missing the break, rider Rossa Ryan had to settle him in rear, but the colt travelled smoothly and professionally despite being harried and made to jostle for position through the early part of the race.
Approaching the final two furlongs, Baradar showed a very pleasing attitude and an impressive change of gears, coming wide and late to mow down the long time leader to win easily by half a length.
This was a performance that was full of promise from a clearly talented colt, everything went wrong for him but class told in the end and he looks one to be competing in a higher grade before the season is out.
Baradar was purchased from Book I of the 2019 Tattersalls October Yearling sales, this years round of yearling sales are fast approaching, for more information please do not hesitate to get in touch.
