Queen Olly (No Nay Never) wins in imperious fashion at York.
The daughter of No Nay Never routed nine rivals in Friday’s £20,000 Frank Whittle Partnership ebfstallions.com Maiden Stakes over York’s straight six furlongs, a race which has historically always proven to be a strong heat.
Quickly into stride and she sat a handy fifth, just behind the leaders in the early stages, before looming up at the two pole travelling easily, she was ridden to the front approaching the final furlong and surged clear of a strong looking field. This was a highly impressive debut from a filly who surely looks to have Royal Ascot in her sights in the near future, with the Albany Stakes a likely target.
Queen Olly who was purchased in conjunction with fellow agent Ben McElroy at last years Goffs Orby Yearling Sale, was awarded a TDN Rising Star off the back of this and looks a very smart prospect indeed.
